    studio time with sesame letterpress

These past couple Saturdays I have hopped across the East River to DUMBO, Brooklyn to spend studio time with Breck and Matt at Sesame Letterpress. Their space is filled with antique presses, and the walls are brimming with cork boards displaying their designs, from coasters to custom wedding invitations (and even some sweet handwritten thank you notes, from delighted brides I'm sure). The presses are littered with out takes from their beautiful new collection for Cursive New York (lower right), and it was an absolute joy to spend time with them in their studio. In a future post (when I'm not exhausted and swamped with work), I'll share the lovely note card design I printed, and more about the experience of printing on a letter press.

Sabine, I'm so glad you stopped by! I was just scrolling through your studio's work - it's marvelous - so conceptually brilliant and fun and unrestrained... perhaps I'll have to do a post on some of my favorite pieces.
And I'm glad you love the Sesame studio too! happy weekend!
