Janet Halverson
Monday, March 1, 2010 at 7:06 AM
Janet Halverson designed hundreds, literally, of dust jackets in the 70s and 80s (and into the 90s). I came across the above copy of Play it as it Lays in a shop over the weekend – the bold, 1970s palette and timelessness of the design drew me in. It amazes me how one woman's work can inundate our used bookstores. {images from and books for sale here}
PS. I am a huge admirer of the work of today's Plucky Pioneer! So head over to Kate's blog a little later to see who she is and view our latest interview!

This collection of books looks so great together. The designs are so cool - I especially love The Benefactor - still seems like a new design :) btw, loved the interview today!!
