love it or leave it, it's an undeniably timeless statement >1) gold spectacles necklace 2) the gold standard 3) america, art and culture today through the lens of moby dick 4) the marvelous gold-beaded envelope linings of the stationery of Mrs. John L. Strong {really deserving of its own post} 5) wishbone necklace 6) letter opener 7) sculpture by miss pamela sunday 8) 1888 patek philippe watch up for auction 9) flats by maloles 10) duck soup tureen 11) vintage braided bracelet 12) special occasion card set (with the envelopes) by Mrs. John L. Strong - gold embossed with ooh lala!, bon voyage!, and various other phrases 13) vintage cocktail ring

This may sound completely strange, but I didn't develop a love for gold things until I dyed my hair red. Gold works with my red hair, but it never looked right with the dark blonde hair I had (well, I still have, it's just hidden beneath the dye).
The envelopes and cards I love -- I'm on a mail-sending spree.
John got me the wishbone gold charm from charm co. and I wear it on a necklace---yippee! These are all so pretty. You need to publish a book entirely of your collages, okay? xoxo
gold is a no brainer! Lovely!
I love gold! gold was my only requirment in a ring. oh and what about Rose Gold... and Black Hills Gold! My family would take road trips every few years through the black hills, so I've always admired the black hills gold.
Brandi - It took me til after college to finally embrace gold. I now think it's such an elegant choice, but you're right, it just doesn't work for some looks. My engagement ring is vintage yellow gold with a white gold setting, and the wedding band we picked out is a vintage platinum band -- love the look of mixed metals.
Kate - A++ for John! LOVE that necklace! xox
Helena - glad you're a gold girl! lovely indeed.
Kirby - rose gold is beautiful, and black hills gold sounds wonderful too. i'm dying to take a road trip there! one day... it's on my 30 before 30 list.
XX, Jane
Oh I so agree with Kate...you must publish your collages they're always so beautiful!! I LOVE the 2 necklaces, the eyeglass one is so fun!
wow that's a lot of prettiness in one post (as usual). i didn't always love gold, but now i do.
I love nr 1 and 4, lovely colours!
great collection jane! i loooove that set of special occasion cards.
i once had to wear a gold dress for a wedding. it was raw silk so not sparkly. but i was dreading wearing it but it turned out to look great with blonde hair! ever since i've been a fan of gold.
i love really skinny gold rings and little gold stud earrings.
I stayed far-far-far away from gold until a few years ago - now I'd love anything in your round-up!
Well then, you MUST go! the driving is a bit dull for a while with nothing to look at but the open plains, but once you get there it is a site to see!
xo
LOVE gold! These are great picks. I especially like the spectacles necklace and those gorgeous envelope liners!
