This weekend called for some serious Spring sprucing, mainly of my work area. I set out to Staples on Saturday afternoon for a cork board, and by the evening I couldn't help but add a few of my favorite things to it. Beautiful envelope liners by Mr. Boddington's Studio, vintage Matchbooks, personal thank you notes, and mementos of my wedding last September among them.

Print of vintage matchbooks from Kate Spade's 2008 agenda lies behind a few of my favorite matchbooks in my own collection. Lobsters, flamingos and penguins in tuxes mingle with matchbooks from NY landmarks – Sardi's, Peacock Alley and Tavern on the Green RIP.

I love Lilly Pulitzer's spring campaign, and this model embodies the charm and effortless style that I relish. The print of the New England Aster is pulled from my copy of a Field Guide to Wildflowers. Asters are common in the Northeast, and ran rampant in the floral arrangements at my wedding. So simple + pretty. The filmstrip was taken at the Ace Hotel with Fallon and Kate after the launch of our premier issue. Roman Holiday, Audrey's first film, is always fantastic. The Ludlow Suit – Scott and I picked it out at The Liquor Store for the wedding, and I also enjoy this simple layout from their booklet of Fall essentials. Perhaps most importantly is this thank you note: "J, Thanks for the umbrella! F" "F," a former co-worker, would always write thank you notes for the simplest acts of kindness. If I loaned her an umbrella on a rainy day, 10 cents for an apple, or even just an extra hand on a project, she would always place a simple note of gratitude on my desk. Such class is so rare and admirable.

I love these snapshots of my mom and dad, taken on a trip to Alaska (c.1979). My mom is in a field of wildflowers, and my dad has just caught some sort of fish. Besides, what a classic outfit! I think that L.L. Bean vest is still kicking around somewhere. "You will admit that if it was not life it was magnificent" is a quote from This Side of Paradise. Amory Blain utters those words on an ocean liner as he considers how surreal his privilege and circumstances in life have been. Scott letterpressed it at a workshop we took together last fall.
