to dad

When scrounging around for photos of my dad for my Matchbook father's day gift guide, I came across some old favorites. At top he's with his mom and dalmation pup Cinders in Laguna Beach, California in the 50's; at center he's the dapper red head sitting with his father and two little brothers (I love my grandad's horned rimmed glasses here - so very 60's); and at bottom are two of my favorite pictures of him with me as a toddler in the 80's. The photo on the left is an all-time favorite: we are on the tennis court of a family home in Morristown, NJ, wearing matching red converse sneakers and Levi's (such style setters!). To the right he lifts me up as the waves wash over us at the beach one summer. He's always been there to lift me up as the years go by – my biggest fan and supporter, I'd be lost without him.

I was at your greenhouse for the first time this year. I have a friend who would ask me to go with her for several years, and this year I finally went with her.
