my apartment!

It was a delight (and relief!) to publish our apartment in the March issue of Matchbook. I cannot thank you enough for the sweetest tweets, blog posts, and emails – your response was heartwarming. I'm excited to announce that the bedroom and living room will also be published in an upcoming book from Rizzoli, out next spring – I can't wait to see our place in a glossy coffee table book, to cherish always! One day, when I gather my photos together, I'll post some of the before and in-progress shots. They're rather scary, but it's incredible to see how far a little wallpaper and imagination can take you...

Huge thank you to Courtney Apple for the beautiful photography!

NYT's 46 places to go in 2013

The Times published their annual list of cities, states, and countries to visit, sending me into a severe state of wanderlust. I've been to a fair number of the 46 spots they highlighted, but would love to one day cross them all off my list! Three spots that caught my eye in particular were #17 the Philippines, #19 the Kimberley region of Australia, and #28 Porto, Portugal. My dad lived in the Philippines for a bit and even did his freshman year of high school in Manila so I'm particularly curious to visit! I simply had to dream up a little kit bag...

Jennifer Fisher's office decor

We published our January issue this week, and as you may have seen it stars the terribly chic jewelry designer Jennifer Fisher. It's always a pleasure, and the part of my job I enjoy the most, to be on set and welcomed into the personal space of creative pioneers – to see how they work, how their own style may be different from their brand, what knick-knacks they simply can't live without, and, of course, how they've decorated. Jennifer's decor style is quite different (read: hipper, chicer, cooler, etc...) than my own, but I was still incredibly inspired by it! I love when a space so closely reflects one's personal style, as we all know what a challenge it can be to attain the perfect workspace! Hoping her style inspires you too... Happy reading!
