honeyversary at the ace? sounds swell

With our own wedding a mere 7 weeks away (I'm not sure where 2010 has gone!), I have been seeking inspiration high and low. While this honeyversary shoot doesn't really fit the bill, it stole my heart with sweetness. This husband and wife photography team, aptly named Sweet Little Photographs, tied the knot in LA last year. They didn't have time for a honeymoon then... but we find them a year later on their wonderful vintage inspired honeyversary at The Ace in Palm Springs. As inspiration for the shoot, they note films such as  Gidget, Beach Party, and Palm Springs Weekend. Watching their wedding film may just be the most adorable shot ever* (found via green wedding shoes; view their whole shoot HERE

peru {on my mind}

Scott and I have traveled extensively (we met at college in Switzerland), but have spent very little time in South America. Wanting our honeymoon to be the "trip of a lifetime," we jumped at the idea of going to Peru. One of my dear bridesmaid's brother's girlfriend (whew) has been a true saint, planning an i-d-e-a-l trip with just the right mix of adventure/relaxation, luxury/nature and urban/rural culture and customs. We are over the moon with excitement.

Our travels will begin in Lima, where we'll spend a few days experiencing the culture of the city -- from music, craft markets, local food and museums to toasting the new Mr. and Mrs. in pisco sour bars. From Lima, we will be taking a glass enclosed train through the Andes to Machu Picchu, Lost City of the Incas -- staying at what sounds like the most divine eco luxury hotel on earth. We will also visit the Sacred Valley, the former center of Incan culture, and Cusco. We will then head south to Puno and stay along the shores of Lake Titicaca, where we'll relax and take in the surreal beauty of Peru’s floating islands.

Have you ever been to Peru? I would l-o-v-e to hear any tips you might have on things to see and do.
