mr. pate goes to london

I love this new London print by the Brooklyn based Wayne Pate. In addition to the black cabs and red double-decker buses, the red and black conjures up images of London's iconic telephone booths and underground signs. The style is reminiscent of M. Sasek's bold This Is illustrations, making it an instant favorite. Between this wonderful Pate print, which Scott gifted to me (thank you!), and the one we picked up at the Brooklyn Flea's Design Co-op, we are slowly amassing a collection. {image from and print for sale at wayne's shop}

brooklyn flea's design co-op

This weekend I went out to the always lovely Saturday flea market in Fort Greene, specifically to see for myself what the design co-op was all about. It was a spectacular gem of a tent, curated by Lena Corwin with adorably covetable items from marcie mcgoldrickmaptotelotta jansdottermoontree letterpresswayne pate/good shape designlaura normandinsesame letterpress and lines & shapes.

I purchased the limited edition co-op poster by Wayne Pate, note cards from Sesame Letterpress, and a Manhattan Map Note from Map Tote. It was hard not to splurge on Lena's gorgeous flower mobile and Wayne's Paris print (bottom left and right).
